A devastating loss of both family and faith gives a being named Gorr a brutal mission in life: to slay all of the gods. In another part of the universe, Thor has been busy being a hero while working with the Guaradians of the Galaxy. But when they part ways, Thor has to figure out who he is without the Guardians, the Avengers, or as King. As Gorr makes his way to New Asgard to threaten the residents, Thor returns home to fight alongside King Valkyrie, coming face-to-face with a powerful new ally in the form of his fomer flame, Jane Foster - now the Mighty Thor.
Oh, and there are goats.
