The supernatural community takes an increased interest in Diana, and she learns of a betrayal within her small circle. Diana meets someone from her mother's past, who quickly reveals his determination and motivation for wanting Ashmole 782. Matthew reveals to Diana the importance of the manuscript and how it relates to the work he's doing. We learn a little about Matthew's romantic past, and it's problematic to say the least.
