Fandom Hybrid Podcast nominated for an NYC Podcast Award!

On Monday, March 2, the nominees for the 2026 New York City (NYC) Podcast Awards were announced, and we are pleased to say that the Fandom Hybrid Podcast received a nomination in the "Best Entertainment & Pop Culture Podcast" category! This is a huge accomplishment for our show, as we had to go through two rounds of judging to receive a nomination. We are very honored to be recognized for our work.

The awards ceremony to announce the winners will be held on Friday, March 13 at the Bravo Studios in NYC.
As fans, listeners, and supporters, there are two ways that you can help us:
1) There is a separate "Audience Choice Award" for each category, and you can vote for us DAILY until noon on March 12, 2026. We would really appreciate your vote at this link. 
2) As mentioned, there will be a live awards ceremony on Friday, March 13, 2026 to announce the winners. I would like to attend the ceremony in person, and this is where I will need your help as supporters, sponsors, and donors.
As I *literally* just returned from a trip to NYC to attend the red carpet premiere event for Outlander's final season, I was not expecting another trip so soon. However, I really think that - in addition to being present in the event that we win (putting it out there in the universe!) - this would also be a great opportunity to network for the show, and I would like to request your help in getting me there. The Fandom Hybrid Podcast launched at the end of September 2020 and was born out of a love for talking about all things fandom. As a lifelong fangirl, I relish in any opportunity I am given to express my love (and sometimes dislike) for TV shows, movies and books, mainly in the science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural genres. As such, I have had the opportunity to write/blog for a number of different online outlets over the past few years. I am a former Examiner, having contributed to the Sci-Fi TV and Movies in Atlanta and Atlanta Geek Culture blogs (2011-2014); I was also the “Harry Potter Blogger” for Hollywood News (2010-2011). I have served as a panelist at Dragon Con for the past 14 years, and I have been podcasting for the last 15 years.

Harry Potter has been my primary fandom since I was introduced to it in 2005; my other current interests include - but are not limited to - the MCU (films and TV shows), The Walking Dead Universe, Outlander, AMC's Interview With the Vampire, House of the Dragon, The Wheel of Time (Amazon series), The Boys, and Stranger Things.

Past Favorites: Supernatural, Stargate SG-1, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dark Angel, The Umbrella Academy, The Tudors, Caprica, 24, V: The Series, Camelot, Dracula, True Blood, Being Human (US), The Vampire Diaries Universe, Sleepy Hollow (pre-Season 4), Game of Thrones, Arrow, Into the Badlands, Orphan Black, Salem, and American Gods, A Discovery of Witches, and Shadow and Bone (book and Netflix show).

Favorite novel: The Stand by Stephen King.
